What do I need to install an RTX 3070?
You will need to make sure you have a PCIe (PCI Express) slot available on your motherboard, and for best results, this should be PCIe 4.0. Your power supply unit (PSU) will need to accommodate the ~220 watts of power the RTX 3070 uses. A 750W - 850W PSU is recommended. The PSU will also need 1x or 2x PCIe 8pin cables to plug into the RTX 3070, depending on the model and brand.

How much faster is an RTX 3070 than RTX 3060?
When comparing GPU-intensive games such as Red Dead Redemption 2, at 1080p Ultra Quality, the RTX 3070 hits over 75 FPS, where the RTX 3060 is around 50 FPS. Assassin's Creed Valhalla, another graphically demanding game, hits around 74 FPS at 1080p Ultra and 57 FPS at 1440p Ultra. In comparison, the RTX 3060 manages 52 FPS and 40 FPS respectively.
For 1080p and 1440p gaming across all genres, the RTX 3070 is a proven winner versus the RTX 3060. If you intend on playing games in 4K, the RTX 3080 is by far a better option, and well worth the extra cost vs. performance.
