Better than expected, it was either this or a 280mm liquid cooler which would probably outperform this cooler but... I just wanted to install it and then dust it once every two weeks with no other maintenance or change of parts needed so I've chosen an air cooler.

I originally bought this CPU cooler for my sons PC, but it was too big to fit in his case, so my partner ended up having it (which he was very happy about!). The first thing I have to say about the Noctua is that it is silent, which makes a pleasant surprise as my partner is a gamer and his old CPU cooler sounded like a truck idling every time he played a game! It was quite fiddly to fit and would be better with an extra pair of hands to help out. I would suggest measuring to make sure that this CPU cooler will fit in your PC because it is big. The build quality is very good and it seems robust. Overall, I would highly recommend this CPU cooler to others.

First off CCL packed the fan extremely well and delivered it in good time. The fan is big,I mean BIG. I have had to modify my computer housing to get it to fit, nothing major just a few holes here and there. Once installed the fan is very quiet, It really is that good you ask yourself is it working. Build quality looks excellent, a superb kit within the box allows you to tailor your fit, it even comes with some paste to improve heat transfer. After a month or so use the fan is working very well. Whisper quiet and keeps the temperature down to 34-38 degrees C. Excellent after sales service and support is included FOC, including some free upgrades should you change your pc. I would absolutely recommend it, it performs very well and is relatively easy to install, it is big so check your pc dimensions carefully.

I bought this because I didn't want a fan that overhangs the ram and this one doesn't. It's pretty quiet and obviously, the fan is not designed for clear case look-how-pretty-the-inside-of-my-PC-is but does what it needs to do. I'm not planning on ultra overlocking my i7 6-core CPU so I don't have excess heat issues even when I'm playing early access un-optimised games like Scum.
