Most modern branded computers including laptops don’t come with any recovery CD’s. However they do have a recovery partition installed onto the hard drive. This is usually accessed with a certain keystroke during the powering on phase of the laptop. The keystrokes required to access this recovery partition can be found in your computers manual.
You should have the option to create a set of recovery disks when you first start the computer, this is a step many people skip however I would strongly recommend doing this and putting the disks in a safe place should total hard drive failure ever occur and render the recovery partition useless.
