Are mechanical keyboards really better?

Mechanical keyboards are good keyboards for typing, gaming and most use cases, but offer a few added benefits, depending on who uses them. Mechanical switches under the key provide responsive keypresses, and feel completely different from most membrane keyboards, which use a rubber membrane for the responsiveness.

A mechanical keyboard, therefore, allows you to type accurately and "feel" the typing and keypresses.

Are mechanical keyboard loud?

Not all mechanical keyboards are loud. Various switch manufacturers offer more quiet or silent variants, so you benefit from the responsiveness of mechanical keys without the noise! Cherry MX Silent Red and Kailh BOX Silent Pink are both examples of quiet mechanical switches, and they are available in various keyboards.

What is the "clickiest" keyboard?

The Razer Huntsman Elite is considered quite a loud keyboard, although it uses Razer Opto-Mechanical switches, which are only used in Razer mechanical keyboards. Cherry MX Blue switches tend to be the loudest, and any keyboard that doesn't dampen the sound inside the chassis will provide a satisfying clack!

Why should I use a mechanical keyboard?

If you need precision when typing, or if you need a tactile feel when gaming, a mechanical keyboard is perfect. Durability is the main benefit of mechanical keyboards, as even though they have more moving parts than traditional membrane keyboards, they are built to last.

What keyboard do pro gamers use?

According to ProSettings.net, 98% of pro gamers use 60% and 65% mechanical keyboards, mainly for their portability, precision and durability.

Why are mechanical keyboards good for creators?

Many professionals use mechanical full size keyboards with programmable buttons to speed up productivity. By assigning mundane tasks that are repeated over and over in an application, you can assign a "macro" and run this series of keypresses to get things done much faster.
