Great product to back up the router and modem for full fibre if the power goes out, switches over immediately (faster than I can detect)

Works really well. Software as bit of a pain to get running right but powewalker tech support was great. Tested in real life 3 days after install and performed admirably.

I have a home music studio set up. Purely a hobbyist and nothing more. I also like to game. I recently invested over 2000 in a new PC I built and also have a lot of expensive audio equipment such as an audio interface, monitors, pre-amps etc with a value of around 5k. I thought it would be a wise investment to back up the power end with a UPS. So began the hunt for knowledge and of course the product. I had no prior knowledge of UPS's other than that they existed and what their purpose was. As for choosing which one I wanted or more importantly needed I knew nothing. I spent 2 weeks online researching through different websites and You Tube videos and very quickly became overwhelmed and more confused with every click. So I simply added up the rating of each of the items I had and would connect ot the UPS which came to around 1100w. This turned out NOT to be the best way to do it . I chose this based on few criteria that it met. It was rated, in watts, above what I needed which was advised on almost all the sites I visited. It was a relatively reliable brand. Finding reviews was difficult though. The price was within my available budget. I should have purchase a pure sine wave UPS but they were well outside my budget. My plan was to buy this unit and at a later stage, when I knew more and maybe during a sale, I would upgrade. It arrived from CCL with no additional packaging. Product was ok and super easy to instal and set up. The software is a little complicated and requires a little bit of homework before you are up and running. Once the software is installed you have a lot of very useful information and records. Turns out I could have gotten away with a UPS rated around 750w. The maximum draw of power I use with everything plugged in and running to its max is about 500w. That is only while gaming. Cons: The fan is constantly on and loud. This is not clear anywhere product information or on the sellers website. It is in fact unusable for me with the Audio set up and just bearable for other applications. I cannot afford to upgrade at the minute so am stuck with it. I live in a 1 bed apartment so I only have 2 seperate circuits for electrical appliances. I have minimised what is on the UPS circuit. I have moved the applainces connections to the other circuit.I have a fluorescent bulb in the kitchen though. When I switch it on sometimes the monitor screen blanks out momentarily even though connected to the UPS. I feel this shouldn't happen. So not sure if it is a fault. I also sometimes get power outage reports from the UPS just by shutting everything except the UPS down even though there have been no outages. Overall it is not suited at all for my needs. I need a quiet running UPS with a zero rpm fan. I have already commenced the search for the appropriate one. If using for general home or office use, or you can put in another room from where you are working then it is fine. If, like me, this is not an option then this unit is probably not for you.
